“Let It Be” would become the 19th Beatles #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was released a couple weeks before the official break up of The Beatles was announced. There would be one more Beatles #1- “The Long And Winding Road.” Rolling Stone magazine ranked “Let It Be” at #20 on their 500 Greatest Songs Ever list. While it is listed as a Lennon-McCartney song- this was all Paul McCartney.
