Following “I Want To Hold Your Hand” and “She Loves You”- The Beatles strike for a third time in a row at #1 with “Can’t Buy Me Love.” WIth “I Want To Hold Your Hand #1 for 7 weeks, “She Loves You” for 2 weeks and “Can’t Buy Me Love” 5 weeks The Beatles spent 14 straight weeks at #1. For 1964 they would spent 18 weeks at #1 with 6 different hits.
These chart records are still unbeaten, I’m guessing. Good stuff!
They have changed the way they calculate the charts- some hip hopper i think a year or two ago had a bunch in the top 10 at the same time- but again its a different world- and way they determine the charts now.
This is one of their very best early songs and recordings. It is a gas to play!
