I remember years ago thinking that this one hit wonder from 1970- was a man- Edison Lighthouse. Oops. They were a studio group out of England featuring singer Tony Burrows. They had 2 Hot 100 singles in the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970-71 with “Love Grows {Where My Rosemary Goes} their only Top 40 hit. “Love Grows” was a #1 hit on the UK Singles Chart. Tony Burrows wasn’t a one hit wonder though- he was the singer on “Beach Baby” a #4 hit in 1974 for The First Class.
I had the single passed down to me by someone. I always liked it and I also like Freedy Johnston’s cover of it.
I always liked this one, but it’s the type of pop song I would have thought you would dislike.
This is usually the type of song I do dislike- but I have always liked it for some reason!
Gold bubble gum if there is such a thing
I used to sing along to this. God only knows why.
