The Band were an album band not a singles band. They did have ten Hot 100 singles in their career from 1968-75 2 of which made the Top 40. Their most successful single was “Up On Cripple Creek” #25 in 1969. “Rag Mama Rag” comes from their second album- The Band [ or The Brown Album} which I would rank as one of my favorite albums ever- certainly on my Mt. Rushmore of albums.

It’s a danged good song that never grows old.
Speaking more of my language. More of that fiddle I like. Sounds like a symphony to me. “Come on rosin up the bow” “Bring your skinny little body back home”. My kind of writing.
Those first two Band albums- perfection.
They are good. I’m a huge listener.
