“Just another band outta Boston!”
Good memories.
Wow, I remember these songs so well, and what my friends and I were all getting up to back then. I bought a magazine because it had the lyrics to Blinded By The Light.
Same here- every morning I’d get up for school and as I got ready and waited to go would have the radio on- and these songs would be playing. Some – especially the ones I really didn’t like seem to be played every morning…
To me it seems strange that Bread and Aerosmith could be on the same chart. They seem worlds away from each other.
That Leo Sayer cover is amazing….
He seemed to have a number of hits and then just disappear I don’t think I have heard is name since the late 70s..
For some reason Australian children’s band The Wiggles had him guest on a remake of You Make Me Feel Like Dancing relatively recently.
I wasn’t aware of that.. glad to hear he is still out there.
This list could be a classic rock radio playlist today minus a few like Mr. Sayer and a couple of Osmonds.
There was a small window where Leo Sayer was everywhere…I always got him and Richard Simmons mixed up.
I never thought of Simmons and Sayer but you may be on to something- has anyone ever seen them in the same room together?
Ahhh! Simmons got popular when Sayer was fading out!
