Vic Dana- an adult contemporary singer and dancer was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to California as a teen- had 15 Hot 100 singles from 1961-70. His biggest hit was a #10 “Red Roses For A Blue Lady” 1965. Dana was discovered by the Sammy Davis, Jr. The album If I Never Knew Your Name- was the final album of Vic Dana’s career. This single was written by Neil Diamond- and it sounds like a Neil Diamond written tune. Neil had released it a year earlier on his album Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show.
