Street People was a studio group featuring Rupert Holmes who would go on a decade later to have a #1 hit with “Escape {The Pina Colada Song} in 1979- and a couple other Top 40 hits. Holmes was born in England but raised in Manhattan. Street People ad 2 Hot 100 hits in 1970 and that was it- this was their biggest hit.

As I listened this song came back to me.
I didn’t remember this one either.. I wasn’t listening to much radio then but sometimes being in the car I’d hear stuff maybe I did but it wasn’t memorable.
