437. “Little Woman”- Bobby Sherman. Metromedia. Pop. Written by Danny Janssen. B-side:”One Too Many Mornings.” Peaked at #3 13 weeks in the Hot 100. The first chart single out of what would be ten in his career for the teen idol of the moment. It would be the biggest hit for Sherman who came from Santa Monica, California.7 of the 10 would make the Top 40- and it would be the first seven singles. Grade: C

439. “This Girl Is A Woman Now”- Gary Puckett & Union Gap. Columbia. Pop. Written by Victor Millrose and Alan Bernstein. B-side: “His Other Woman.’ Peaked at #9 11 weeks on the chart. From the same hometown as Bob Dylan- Gary Puckett &Union Gap had 9 Hot 100 hits from 1967-71- the first four made the Top 7- then their popularity began to fizzle. Their biggest hit was “Young Girl” #2 in 1968. Grade: B-
3 fairly decent songs, but of course I’m biased towards Bobby Sherman as I had a terrible crush on him. He was on some TV show also with brothers? He’s cuter than a bug’s ear 😉
I always like Gary Puckett’s sound. Very “AM Gold”.
