The 3rd of 4 Steppenwolf singles to hit the Hot 100 in 1969- Their 2 biggest hits had come a year earlier with #2 “Born To Be Wild” and #3 “Magic Carpet Ride”  Grade: B

429. “You Got Yours And I’ll Get Mine”- The Delfonics. Philly Grove. Soul. Written by Thom Bell and William Hart. B-side:”Loving Him” Peaked at #40 10 weeks on the chart. The 3rd of 3 Hot 100 singles in 1969 for The Delfonics out of Philadelphia- it is the only one to crack the Top 40- just making it. Grade: B

430. “Any Way That You Want Me”- Evie Sands. A&M. Rock. Written by Chip Taylor. B-side:”I’ll Never Be Alone Again.” Peaked at #53 and spent 17 weeks on the chart- an incredible stat there 17 weeks on the chart and it didn’t get any higher than #53.  Evie Sands was a New York City rocker who had 3 Hot 100 singles 1969-71- never cracking the Top 40. Grade: B+
