ALBUMS

- BOB DYLAN: FALLEN ANGELS: 2016: POP: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: APPLE: Another album of a dozen songs -all but one had been covered by the great Frank Sinatra. Surprisingly good stuff. And if you get a chance at seeing Bob on tour- don’t pass it up- I saw him again in November and he was in fine form. If he comes near again I am going.

- BOB DYLAN: TRIPLICATE: 2017: POP: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: APPLE: Bob’s last album- so far- a triple album- 30 songs from the great American songbook. Will he do another album of Bob songs? The last one was in 2012? I’d never count him out. I to think after three albums of Sinatra/ Great American Songbook albums it is time to at least move on to something else- they are all well done though.

- THE PRETENDERS: THE PRETENDERS: 1980: ROCK: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: VINYL: A stunning debut- while “Learning To Crawl” has my three favorite songs by The Pretenders on it- this is their strongest album.

- THE BEATLES: A HARD DAY’S NIGHT: 1964: ROCK: 5+ STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: VINYL:

- THE RASCALS: ANTHOLOGY: 1965-72: ROCK: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: IPOD: A double CD with 44 songs- unless The Rascals are your all time favorite band this is all you need. The first disc is stronger than the second.
Good playlist!
I agree those last three cover albums from Bob are pretty darn good with special mention of Shadows in The Night which I count as a Bob masterpiece. I have to listen to Triplicate again. It’s been a while.
