B-Side ” Better Tomorrow Than Today.” This was Everett’s second entry into the Hot 100 in 1969- her first was her duet with Jerry Butler “Let It Be Me”- #64. “I Can’t Say No To You”-peaked at #78 and spent 4 weeks on the chart. Overall she had 10 Hot 100 hits with 3 making the Top 40- her biggest hit-“The Shoop Shoop Song {It’s In His Kiss} #6 1964. Grade: C+

210. “Mr. Walker, It’s All Over”- Billie Jo Spears. Capitol. Country. Written by Gene Crysler. B-Side “Tips And Tables.” Billie Jo Spears a country singer had 2 Hot 100 singles none of which were Top 40 hits. “Mr. Walker, It’s All Over” peaked at #80 and spent 4 weeks on the chart. Grade: C

211. “Seven Years”- The Impressions. Curtom. Soul. Written by Curtis Mayfield. B-Side “The Girl I Find.” The Impressions a soul band out of Chicago began in 1957 featuring Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler. Butler had left before the 50’s were over for a solo career. The Impressions had 39 Hot 100 singles with 17 making the Top 40. Their biggest hit- “It’s All Right” #4 in 1963. “Seven Years”- went to #84 and spent 4 weeks on the chart. Grade: B

212. “Never Gonna Let Him Know”- Debbie Taylor. Soul. GWP. Written by Billy Terrell and Ray Dahrouge. B-side: “Let’s Prove Them Wrong.” Debbie Taylor a soul singer had 2 Hot 100 hits neither of which sniffed the Top 40- “Never Gonna Let Him Know” peaked at #86 and spent 6 weeks on the chart. Grade: C
