The Sounds of Summer: Day 13 of 95. “California Girls”- Katy Perry. I do not listen to pop radio and haven’t for a couple decades but in the summer of 2010 it was impossible to avoid “California Gurls” by Katy Perry. For pop music in 2010 it wasn’t bad but it was played to death. It went to #1. The song features the legendary Snoop Dogg. The song was written by Perry, Calvin Broadas [Snoop}, Bonnie McKee, Dr. Luke and Max Martin. I most likely won’t include many songs from this century in The Sounds Of Summer- but this one certainly deserves mention. One of those songs I hate to admit to liking but I do.
FYI…see my response to Jade from an earlier post? Max is OK. He’s had a reaction to a procedure. He may or may not update his audience. He feels terrible.
Thanks for the update- hoping he feels better real soon.
He is having a time. Send him an email via his site, if you wanna…
A stupid question- how do you do that?
*sigh*
I thought he had set up his contact page. Apparently, he never got around to it…
Hm. Stand by…
OY! You don’t have a contact page either. ๐คจ *facepalm*
You two are killin’ me.
I don’t want to post his email in comments. Do you know how to manage your comments in the Admin. panel?
sad to say- no I don’t.
Talk to me.
did you get my message?
Just did…
That’s quite a video.
I remember seeing her years ago (1998) when she was still singing gospel music under her real name Katy Hudson.
Were you impressed with her singing? Did it surprise you when she became a big star?
I liked the sound of her voice. The band was a little too loud and drowned her out. And yes, it was a surprise to see her become a POP star.
That video gives new meaning to the term sexual innuendo ๐
I just can’t take her voice.
