Bill Buckner passed away yesterday at age of 69. Buckner was a pretty good ballplayer for 22 seasons in the major leagues but he will always be remembered for the error he made in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. Here is a song that The Baseball Project did on Bill Buckner and the events leading up to the error.
It’s a shame that is what he will be remembered by the most. He was a pretty good player.
off topic…I might be missing for the next few days…I think I’m a proud owner of a kidney stone.
That isn’t good- sorry to hear that. I hope it passes quickly and painlessly.
Thanks Hans….Me also… I went to the Doc today…will find out something tomorrow hopefully. They think that is what it is.
Have you ever had one before?
I only had a round one like a BB which didn’t hurt. They also mentioned possibly diverticulitis…that scared me until I looked it up lol.
Have you had one? I think I told you my dad had 70 all told.
No I haven’t. Thank goodness. Yes I remember you telling me about your dad- man that has to be a world record.
When he passed he had one in each kidney. Vanderbilt wanted to do a study on him years ago.
I’m thankful I can work from home and work is sympathetic.
I hope for the best! Good to hear the work is sympathetic as they should be.
Thanks Hans…as long as I can stay still I can deal with it.
