On this day in 1969 The Beatles single “Get Back” became the 18th Beatles #1 hit. The b-side was Don’t Let Me Down”- personally I like the b-side which was written and sung b John Lennon over “Get Back’ written and sung by Paul McCartney- although I do like “Get Back” also but I can see why “Get Back” was the a-side it is much more commercial.  The single was billed as The Beatles with Billy Preston.

Also in Beatles news- or John Lennon and Yoko Ono news- those wacky kids start up a new company called Bag Productions that will make films and publish books. The couple also fly to the Bahamas, where they are planning another bed-in.
