
It was fifty years ago today- the most famous rock opera/ concept album [not necessary the best I think it’s a tad overrated} Tommy by The Who was released. Tommy was the fourth album released by The Who- a double album written by The Who’s guitarist Pete Townshend, about a deaf, dumb and blind boy named Tommy Walker. and his life experiences and relationship with his family.

50 years…crazy. This album was a big one for me.
My older stepbrothers loved it, but I never got it.
The opera may be overrated but some individual songs on the album are definitely not to me.
One of my least favorite Who albums although I understand why some do like it.
