The Grand Canyon is in one word? Incredible. Here are a few pictures from my last trip there a year and a half ago. These were taken from the south rim of the canyon.

This is just about #1 on my bucket list. I will get there…soon. Your pictures are great. The views look incredible.
It is hard to beat- well worth the trip.
Incredible photos, Hans. I went to see it over 10 years ago and wanted to go down into it. I wonder how many people die in the canyon every year? If you don’t have water chances are good you will not make it out alive. It is something that has to be seen to appreciate fully.
I saw the other day that someone fell in and died… yes I would love to hike down into it too- or go on a raft through on the river… could easily spend a week or so there i think.
It’s pathetic but the Grand Canyon always makes me think of the Brady Bunch – nice pictures though!
One of a kind…you’d have to go to mars to find something similar
Amazing! Thank you for sharing.
Have you heard about all the recent deaths?
Yes it is a wonder there are not more than there are. So many people visiting the park and all..
I haven’t visited the Grand Canyon since the glass observation platform was constructed. I want to visit again soon.
I had the opportunity to go several years ago. As great as the pictures are (and yours are fantastic!), they just don’t compare to actually *being* there.
I agree you can look at pictures all day – but actually being there is 100 times greater!
We will be near the North rim in four days. What music reminds you of the Grand Canyon?
I agree, it is incredible! Beautiful photos!
Thank you!
