I vote for YOU’RE SO VAIN being the best song.
It is in my top 5 of that week.
One of the few Joni Mitchell songs that got onto the charts isn’t it? When I think of her discography and how few made it….
Early 70’s were about it for her as far as the singles charts- there are some of her songs Ive heard a lot figured were hits- but weren’t.
So many phenomenal songs on this list, especially You’re So Vain, Superstition, Do It Again, Could It Be I’m Falling in Love, Killing Me Softly, Love Train and Danny’s Song. Was never crazy about Crocodile Rock to begin with, and after hearing it played what seemed like a thousand+ times, I grew sick to death of it. It’s still overplayed and I can’t stand to listen to it.
Some good pieces there. Another awful song…Clair. Yuck.
I agree, lots of great stuff here. “Superstition” is one of my favorite Stevie Wonder tunes – totally dig the groove. Steely Dan, Curtis Mayfield and Elton John are other gems.
Lots of memories!
