The Rolling Stones Song of the Day is Off The Hook. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards wrote Off The Hook- it is on The Rolling Stones No. 2 album. The blues influence is certainly all over Off The Hook. Chess Records considered suing over this song- it is similar to a Little Walter song “Off The Wall.” an instrumental. In the end there was a settlement- Chess got 50% of the royalties. Over the years the song has been covered by over twenty different artists-including The Pete Best Combo in 1981. Whether Mick and Keith nicked this song or not- it is one of the best songs on The Rolling Stones No. 2. Off The Hook was the b-side to Little Red Rooster in the UK.
