ALBUMS

- STEVE EARLE: I FEEL ALRIGHT: 1996: 4 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Earle’s comeback continues and the first decade of the comeback would show him being a total workaholic- usually an album a year, touring etc. Highlights here- I Feel Alright, Hard Core Troubadour, More Than I Can Do, Now She’s Gone, You’re Still Standin’ There.

- BOB DYLAN: TIME OUT OF MIND: 1997: Dylan’s first album of original material since 1990. His best album since Slow Train Coming nearly twenty years before. This is a masterpiece and it came just at the right time. Months before the albums release Dylan had been seriously ill. I think the illness- and then the release of this album spurred the great comeback Dylan has made since then. It is impossible to just narrow favorites down since I’d have to list all 11. One of Dylan’s greatest albums.

- THE BEATLES: REVOLVER: 1966: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Speaking of great albums- it took over the title of greatest album ever when it was released in 1966 taking the title from Rubber Soul.
Earles I Feel Alright I think is one of his best. Truly showed the man was back at the time. And I like the Springsteen nod in Hard Core Troubat!
