At Noon today one of the great sporting events of the year- Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest- last year Joey ‘Jaws” Chestnut set a new record downing 72 dogs in 10 minutes- can Chestnut win again? He has won this contest 10 times- one of the great athletes of our times.

One of the competitors was a man in his 70’s. I believe he ate 29 hot dogs.
Yes he was the oldest competitor ever- I didn’t know what his total was though- thanks. 29 in 10 minutes is pretty impressive.
Maybe they should next market a fire eating contest or a long jump event over hit coals.
I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be in a hot dog eating contest…but I know I would forever regret it afterwards.
I can’t imagine how it would feel – probably days later not too good!
