Helen Keller led an amazing life, considering she was both blind and deaf.
Today, people would say that nothing could be done.
I wish there were more people like her dedicated teacher Anne Sullivan who, with her own hands, pressed sign language into Helen’s hand as a young child. Anne would give young Helen an object to hold then spell out the letters of the objects, e.g. a doll, a mug, into her hand.
Both of their life stories are amazing. I seriously doubt they could be replicated today:
