
On May 1, 1974 Dock Ellis of the Pittsburgh Pirates decided he was going to make a statement against the Cincinnati Reds. Ellis was one of the real characters in baseball- he had decided the Pirates were being intimidated by the Reds and he was going to change that. Great article on what happened-
