Growing up in the late 60’s I was obsessed with the Apollo moon program. I started watching the missions with Apollo 7 and stayed  with it through the end of the Apollo program. When I was eight I wanted to be an astronaut. Years later I was talking to one of my classes about this and I said “I couldn’t have been an astronaut, can anyone tell me why?” – The answer I had in mind was that I was too tall to qualify but some weisenheimer raised his hand and said “You’re not smart enough.” I had to laugh because that would also be true.

When I think of NASA I like to think of NASA during their glory years- putting a man on the moon in the 1960’s. I would have thought back then that by 2017 we would be on Mars by now-instead we have went backwards.

I bought this NASA Meatball logo t-shirt down at a store near the Space Center in Houston on a visit to Quinn’s. I would later order a few more on the internet.  One of my favorite t-shirts.
