With President’s Day coming up on Monday, C-Span has released a new survey of Historical Presidential Ratings. Some of the results are laughable, others on the mark. I have been doing my own survey on the blog here this past month.
below is a link to the survey- interesting even if you disagree with some of the ratings. Barry Obama #12.. to quote John McEnroe- “You cannot be serious.” Woodrow Wilson and Andrew Jackson are falling out of favor.
I would rank Jefferson and Polk much higher because of the lands they acquired for this country. John Tyler was a Conferderate opportunist during the early stages of the Civil War. I rank him last.
Polk and Jefferson- near great- both Top 10.
As far as current president I doubt his ratings will rise much even if he accomplishes great things for all because the hate for him by some people will never subside and blinds them to anything he might do, Harry Truman is overlooked, He set the stage for world order after WW II for even to today.
