About 15 years or so ago I drove over to Lexington, Kentucky for a Steve Earle concert. The opening act was a fellow named R.B. Morris. He did a cover of Tom T. Hall’s “Don’t Forget The Coffee Billy Joe” which I thought was better than Tom T.’s original. Morris mentioned that he covered the song on a Tom T. Hall tribute album called “Real-The Tom T. Hall Project” so I had to get that album on that song alone.
