Actor James Garner turns 85 today. James Garner has starred in more than 50 movies but he will always be best remembered for a couple roles he had in television shows, first he starred as Bret Maverick in the 1950’s western-comedy “Maverick.” but to me he will always be Jim Rockford in “The Rockford Files.” “The Rockford Files” was a detective series in the 1970’s. I remember when I was young “The Rockford Files” was my grandfather’s favourite television show. When I think of him that is one of the first things that come to mind. He loved “The Rockford Files.” Years later I would start to watch the old re-runs on television and I was hooked to. It’s one of my all-time favourite television shows. When the show came out on DVD I had to snap up each season as it came out. Jim Rockford has to be the coolest character in television history.
