The Buffalo Bills finished 6-10 last season. A few seasons ago quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had a good month and Bills management thought he was the second coming of Jim Kelly and signed him to a big contract. Of course Fitzpatrick wasn’t the second coming and after wasting a couple years on him they recently released him and are now in search of a franchise quarterback. The Bills could also use on offense another receiver or two, or three. They could use some help on the offensive line and on defense. In other words new coach Doug Marrone didn’t take over a ready made team.
Bills select with the 7th pick in round 1- Quarterback Geno Smith 6-3 218 4.59 40. West Virginia. Smith is the best quarterback out there this year. Is he a franchise quarterback? That is a big question. I think he can be a good starting quarterback in the NFL but he’s not going to step right in and be a Luck or Griffin. He will have some growing pains. I would suggest the Bills add some offensive toys for Smith to play with other than Stevie Johnson the Bills have little at receiver.
