The Lions fell apart last season. Offensively they have great skill players in Stafford and Megatron. I somewhat disagree with fellow blogger Hans Postcard on the JAX pick, but it is JAX and who knows right? I do not think that Barkevious Mingo will get to the Lions, but since he is available here, I am selecting him here. If Mingo is off the board here – I think the Lions go Ezekiel Ansah from BYU, also a DE. The Lions need D Line help.

Another solid player who had his mettle tested in the SEC. Mingo sometimes disappeared in games, the Lions are hoping that he shows up ready all of the time. A D Line with Ndomakong Suh and Mingo could create more opportunities for the offense.

Mingo had a solid combine workout. 6’5″ 240 4.58 40 time.

With the 5th pick the Detroit Lions will select Barkevious Mingo DE, LSU.
