Now it pains me to name him as the greatest #33 because I have always rooted for the Celtics and hated the Lakers but you know what- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the greatest #33. As a pro he is one of the 5ive greatest players in the history of the NBA. He was on 6 NBA Championship teams and won 6 MVP Awards. He is the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. Jabbar is a curious case though. He is probably the most unloved NBA star or even sports star. People loved say Bird, Magic, Jordan… those guys played passionately. You could tell they loved the game. Jabbar’s style was totally different. People at times even said he wasn’t trying. No one could have done what he did and not have cared. He was always just poker faced. He rarely showed any emotion. One moment I will always remember is Magic Johnson’s first NBA game.
