2013 NFL Mock Draft- By Slicethelife / 1st Pick Kansas City Chiefs

Quinn Maddux and I are going to attempt to predict the upcoming NFL Draft. Who knows how it will go. There could still be trades and of course the Cleveland Browns have a first round choice and who knows what odd move they may do to mess everything [and their team]up. Hans is going to handle the AFC teams selections and Quinn will handle the NFC.

First Pick- Kansas City Chiefs. Luke Joeckel OT- Texas A&M  Before the Chiefs made the trade with San Francisco and acquired quarterback Alex Smith I was convinced that the Chiefs would take another QB named Smith- Geno Smith the QB out of West Virginia. But when the Chiefs picked up Alex Smith, I do not think they will take Geno. They have many other needs. I think they will take the player they should have taken in the first place- Luke Joeckel the 6’6″ 306 offensive tackle. This makes sense for the Chiefs. They have many needs but if you can take a left tackle who you can potentially plug and take care of a position for a dozen years you have to do it. Not a glamour pick but there are not many glamour picks in this draft. A left tackle like Joeckel will make the skill players the Chiefs have ‘look glamous’ for years to come.
