The Beatles Song Of The Day:”I’m Down”

The Beatles Song Of The Day is “I’m Down.” “I’m Down” was the b side to The Beatles #1 hit “Help!” This Little Richard style shouter was written by Paul McCartney. A great, energetic track. It was recorded the same day as Paul’s classic of classics “Yesterday” could two songs be any different than those two? “I’m Down” would be a favourite for The Beatles to close their shows with in 1965-66. John Lennon: backing vocal, rhythm guitar and Hammond organ/ Paul McCartney: vocal and bass guitar/ George Harrison: backing vocal and lead guitar/ Ringo Starr: drums and bongos. The song was recorded at Abbey Road on June 14th, 1965. Producer: George Martin.
