Adam Clayton the bassist for U2 -turns 53 today. I can think of no other group who has remained great as long as U2 has- a period of over 30 years now. I am eagerly awaiting a new album though. It’s been over 4 years since the last album and I remember reading 2 years ago how 2011 was going to be the year of U2- that they had 3 albums worth of songs ready etc…we’ll we are still waiting. I’ve seen U2 -3 times over the years on their “Joshua Tree Tour’, the “Zoo TV” tour and the last tour in 2011. Adam Clayton has remained single though his years with U2-although he was engaged years ago to supermodel Naomi Campbell.

u2 has always been a group in my music rotations. i dont recall clayton or larry mullen for that matter being as political as paul hewson or david evans. i remember clayton getting arrested for something a bunch of years back. i too am looking forward to the new album.
