Welsh musican John Cale turns 71 today. Cale will always be known for being a founding member of one of the greatest and most influential rock groups of all time- The Velvet Underground, but he has also had an interesting and varied solo career.
Everyone always raves about Jeff Buckley’s version of the Leonard Cohen classic “Hallelujah” as being the definative version- I disagree- I think John Cale’s version is the best-
