The Beatles Song Of The Day is “I’m A Loser.” “I’m A Loser” is the second song on The Beatles “Beatles For Sale” album. John Lennon wrote the song. John would later say “That’s me in my Dylan period. Part of me suspects I’m a loser and part of me thinks I’m God almighty.” Jackie DeShannon who was touring with The Beatles in the summer of 1964 recalls John writing this song on a plane during the tour. They considered releasing “I’m A Loser” as a single until John wrote “I Feel Fine.” John considered it one of his best early songs, an honest song. The Beatles would play this at concerts in 1964 and 1965. John Lennon: vocal, rhythm guitar and harmonica/ Paul McCartney: harmony vocal and bass guitar/ George Harrison: lead guitar/ Ringo Starr: drums and tambourine. The song was recorded August 14th,1964 at Abbey Road. Producer: George Martin. Dylan was clearly a big influence on Lennon during this period and in this song. George Harrison first discovered Dylan and urged Lennon to listen. “I’m A Loser” is one of my favourite Beatles songs.
