British singer/musician Howard Jones turns 58 today. Howard Jones had a string of hits back in the mid-1980’s. He had 9 Top 40 hits in the United States his biggest being “No One Is To Blame” which reached #4 in 1985. His first few albums were the ones that contained his hits. I liked Howard Jones songs back then, they were hardly essential but they were good tunes to listen to when they  came on the radio or your MTV.His songs had an optimism about them. His music would be best described as synthpop. He was one of the better synthpop artists from that day. He’s still around making music and touring  but the hits have long dried up.
