On this day in 1972 the sales of the Volkswagen Beetle passed those of the Ford Model-T. The 15,007,034 Beetle rolled off the assembly line on that day in Wolfsburg, Germany. The Volkswagen Beetle was produced from 1938-2003 and they produced over 21 million Beetles by the time all was said and done. When I was in college I had an old Beetle. It was a good car, never had any problems with it. It was great in the snow.
