The Greatest Athlete To Wear #91 {Sergei Federov}

The Greatest Athlete To Wear #91 is hockey’s Sergei Federov.

Honorable mentions: Football’s Kevin Greene, Leslie O’Neal, and  Robert Porcher. Also in football a player from the 1940’s John Strzykalski was a 4 time All-Pro who deserves mention. Basketball bad boy and rebounding machine Dennis “The Worm” Rodman- I would have given Rodman more consideration for the Greatest to wear #91 had he wore it his entire career. He wore #10 with the Pistons.

Sergei Federov the choice for the greatest athlete to wear #91. Sergei Federov played in the NHL from 1990 until 2009. He will be remembered most for his play with the Detroit Red Wings. In his career Federov 483 goals and 696 assists. He played on 3 Stanley Cup Championships and was a 6 time All-Star. He was the league MVP in 1994 and won the Selke Trophy for best defensive forward twice. No doubt when he becomes eligible he will go into the Hockey Hall of Fame. He was also married to Anna Kournikova for a period of time which may be his most impressive accomplishment.
