The Beatles Song of the Day is “I’ll Get You.” The song was written by John and Paul in late 1962. It was started by Paul and John came in and added the chorus and the middle eight. John Lennon: vocal, rhythm guitar, harmonica/ Paul McCartney: vocal and bass guitar/ George Harrison: harmony vocal and lead guitar/ Ringo Starr: drums. The song was recorded on July 1st, 1963 after the boys recorded “She Loves You.” It was recorded at Abbey Road. Producer: George Martin. This isn’t a major song.They didn’t put a lot of time into the recording of it but its pretty good. Even Beatle B-sides weren’t throwaways.

• I”ll Get You was the B-Side to “She Loves You.” Originally it was being considered for an A Side but a couple of days after writing it John and Paul came up with “She Loves You” and liked that one better. Wise choice.
• Paul would later say that “I’ll Get You” was one of his favourite Beatles tracks.
• “l’ll Get You” didn’t reach the charts in America or the United Kingdom.
• Time of the song is 2:05.
• The song was written by John and Paul at John’s Aunt Mimi’s house on Menlove Avenue where John was living at the time. A rare song written there since Aunt Mimi disappoved of The Beatles…at that time.
• “I’ll Get You” didn’t make Rolling Stone Magazine’s  The Beatles 100 Greatest Songs or Spignesi and Lewis’ “1oo Best Beatles Songs” lists.
