On this day in 1961 President Dwight D. Eisenhower gave his Farewell Address as POTUS. He would leave the office on January 20th, 1961. The highlight of Ike’s Farewell Address was his warnings about the Military-Industrial Complex. Ike was one of the great POTUS of the 20th Century.
