Nigerian born singer Sade turns 54 today. Here name at birth was Helen Folasade Adu. Since her debut in 1984 Sade had only released 6 albums over the years. She is best known for her singles “Smooth Operator” and “The Sweetest Taboo” which both reached #5 on the US Billboard Pop chart in the mid 1980’s. She has had 5ive Top 40 singles in the United States. She lives in England and calls herself ‘famously reclusive” She was ranked as #30 on VH1’s “Greatest Women In Rock” list. Her last album was released in 2010 “Soldier of Love”
