New Orleans Saints Superstar Quarterback Drew Brees-34 Today

New Orleans Saints superstar quarterback Drew Brees turns 34 today. Drew Brees is an excellent example of how sometimes the scouts and teams get it wrong. Brees had an outstanding college career at Purdue but was thought to be too small for the NFL. In 2001 he was drafted in round 2 with the 32nd overall pick by San Diego. After 3 seasons San Diego all but gave up on him and got Phyllis.. I mean Phillip Rivers in the first round. Rivers held out and Brees had the job that year and had a great season. He left for New Orleans after the 2005 season. No question that in the 9 seasons that Phyllis R.ivers and Brees has been in the league together Drew Brees has been the superior quarterback. During the 2009 season Brees led the Saints to their only Super Bowl title. This past season he broke the Johnny Unitas record of consecutive games with a touchdown pass. The streak ended with Brees having thrown a touchdown pass in 54 straight games. For the past 5ive seasons he has thrown 33 or more touchdown passes in each season. When his career is over he will wait the 5ive years you have to wait and then he will go into the Professional Football Hall of Fame. He still has a lot of football in him though.
