Eldrick “Tiger” Woods turns 37 today. Tiger Woods no matter what happens the rest of his career will go down as one of the greatest golfers of all times.
The big question about Tiger Woods is the question-Will he beat Jack Nicklaus’s record of 18 victories in the major tournaments? A few years ago many of the experts thought it looked to be a sure thing. Tiger got his 14th at the U.S. Open in 2008 but since then injury and personal problems have popped up.He’s lost some of his focus. He hasn’t won a major in the last 18 majors. He is now 37. Last year was a comeback year for him, he won 3 tournaments, he hadn’t won a tourament since 2009 but he didn’t do all that well in the Majors-especially on the Sunday’s at the Majors. If Tiger is playing well it makes the Major’s more interesting. I can’t say I root for him though.
Things have changed since the years when Tiger dominated. There are young upcoming golfers out there who have no fear of him. I can see him winning another major but I don’t see him breaking Jack’s record. The window is closing on him.
Tiger Woods now has 74 total wins on the PGA tour which is 2nd on the all-time list behind Slammin’ Sammy Snead who had 82 wins. I figure Tiger will beat that record.
