Apollo 8- Christmas Eve Message- This Day 1968/Video

On this day -Christmas Eve 1968 the crew of Apollo 8-entered into the orbit around the moon becoming the first humans to do so. They performed 10 lunar orbits and broadcast live TV pictures Christmas Eve it was the most watched television program in history up to that time. The astronauts during the broadcast read the first ten verses from the Book of Genesis. The three man crew on Apollo 8 were Commander Frank Borman, Command Module Pilot James Lovell and Lunar Module Pilot Willam Anders. All three men are still living.
