On this day in 1989 the first episode of The Simpson’s “Simpson’s Roasting on an Open Fire” aired in the United States. The Simpson’s is now in it’s 24th season, the longest running scripted television show in American history.

  1. I have loved the Simpsons since they started on the Tracy Ullman show! Was super excited when they made the movie and saw it on opening day!!!! 🙂 Longest running animated show of all time.
