Singer -songwriter Steve Forbert turns 58 today. In 1978 his debut album “Alive On Arrival” was excellent. He was being called “the new Dylan” of course there was and is only one Bob Dylan. I still think “Alive On Arrival” remains Forbert’s finest work. I listen to it quite often. Forbert has released 14 studio albums over the years. He did have a hit in 1980 with “Romeo’s Tune” which hit #11 on the Billboard Chart. His other claim to fame back then was appearing as Cyndi Lauper’s boyfriend in the video of Cyndi’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”
