After recently reading “Destiny of the Republic” by Candice Millard a book about the assassination of President James Garfield I am now starting “The President And The Assassin” by Scott Miller on the McKinley assassination. I enjoyed the Garfield book, learned a lot and came away with an admiration for Garfield the man. I also recently read the “Killing Kennedy” by Bill O’Reilly which was a rather pedestrian read.
may have to look into these.
I’d skip the O’Reily books on Lincoln and Kennedy’s assassination. I am a junkie on the subject that is the only reason I read those. The Garfield book was excellent..
