NFL Week 10 if wagering were legal

Well now. 1-7 last week. We now stand at 19-31-1. Can you say train wreck? if wagering were legal that I would now be dumpster diving instead of having that wonderful ramen. I will say that the Thursday nights seem to set the tone for our week. Again we offer no excuses, but we were given a large assist by some seriously boneheaded coaching decisions. Such is life.

At this point I am surprised that my fellow blogger Hans Postcard has not posted the scene from The Shawshank Redemption where Tim Robbins is listening to Gil Bellows talk to the other cons about all of the prisons that he has been in. Robbins as Andy Dufresne tells Bellows as Tommy Williams that he needs to do something else.

Andy: Maybe it’s time you switch careers.

Tommy: Huh?

Andy: What I mean is, you don’t seem to be a very good thief, maybe you should try something else.

Still of Tim Robbins and Frank Darabont in The Shawshank Redemption

The look that Frank Darabont is giving here – is exactly how I think every one is looking at me when I post my picks each week.

Since Thursday Nights games seem to be our kryptonite, one would think we would change our plans and skip the Thursday nights – but no we are not afraid, we forge ahead.

Home team in all caps.

ind -3 at JAX – indy is the better team and i think that they should win this.

ind/jax over 42.5 – thursdays have been some snooze fest football. so lets expect a 17-13 game – but we are going to bet the over.

buf at NEP -10.5 – buffalo is not good. the patriots demolished the bills earlier this season, i doubt anything will change.

nyg -4 at CIN – giants are a better team on the road than at home. cincy is good for what ails.

ten +6 at MIA – miami has the worst home field advantage in the NFL – its actually a disadvantage. i think the fish win, but do not cover.

atl at NOS +2.5 – atlanta is undefeated but i dont think so after this one. the 2.5 is just a bonus.

nyj at SEA -6 – seattle is strong at home, jets will be able to run the ball, but i think the sea hags cover the 6

hou +1 at chi – this could be a preview of a super bowl match up. chicago’s defense is awesome, houstons offense does not give the ball away. i like houstons defense over jay cutler.

also as a college bonus – i like texas a&m +14 at alabama. the tide are coming off the huge game with lsu. i know they are the better team. i just think that 2 tds is a lot to cover. if johnny football can move the ball against the tide defense it will be interesting. the tide offense could have a field day with the a&m defense as well.

as always look at my record and fade the picks. maybe this week it turns around.
