The outstanding singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell turns 69 today. Joni Mitchell has been a great influence to other artists and one of the greatest and most influential female recording artists in the 20th century. The 1960’s and 1970’s were her peak years. She has not recorded much in the past couple decades. She has released 19 studio albums over her career which started in 1968. Her biggest hit single was “Help Me’ which reached #7 on the Billboard charts in 1974. She was more of an album artist than a singles artist.  Madonna can only dream about being as great as Joni Mitchell.
