On this day one hundred years ago today the 1912 Presidential Election. This was the Woodrow Wilson-vs William Howard Taft vs Theodore Roosevelt race. Wilson was the Democrat, Taft the incumbent POTUS and former POTUS Theodore Roosevelt was running as a third-party candidate on the Bull Moose Party. Taft and Roosevelt both running guaranteed the election of Wilson. The final electoral vote was Wilson 435, TR 88 and Taft 8. This is one of the few elections in the last 100 years where America got it wrong. The other elections I believe were 1916 which should have been Hughes over Wilson 1976 with Ford beating Carter and 2008 McCain over Obama. A pretty good track record of picking the right guy.
