Will the “Redskins Rule” prevail again? The Washington Redskins moved to Washington in 1937. Since then there have been 18 Presidential Elections. 17 of the 18 times this has prevailed. If the Redskins win their last game before the election the party in power stays in power. If the Redskins lose that game the challenging party wins. The Redskins lost today.

If you amend that rule- it’s perfect 18 for 18. If you go by who gets the most votes-remember Gore got more popular votes in 2000-thereby making Bush’s 2004 victory a win for the Redskins Rule.
